Help Comes in All Shapes and Sizes
Candlelighters is a network of support made up of parents of children with cancer, the professionals who treat these children, and volunteers. We strive to help ease the fears and frustrations of these children and their families who face a spectrum of challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Nothing Like a Smile
Life does not necessarily come to a stop during cancer treatment. Candlelighters gives young cancer patients a variety of reasons to smile --like holiday parties, special outings, weekly pizza nights at the hospital and more.

Heart to Heart
When a child battles cancer, families need to know they are not alone. Candlelighters families have experienced childhood cancer firsthand and are accessible to newly diagnosed families for support, direction, encouragement, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on.

Candlelighters of Fort Worth has one part-time
employee that works directly with the children
and their families treated for cancer at Cook
Children's Medical Center of Fort Worth. Our
Family Care Coordinator works to facilitate the
relationships between the children and their
families, Cook Children's Medical Center, and
Candlelighters of Fort Worth. In addition to
holding a part-time position, because of her
commitment our Family Care Coordinator also gives
countless hours of service voluntarily.
